Dr. Eric Tye
Dr. Eric Tye was born and raised in southeast Michigan. He grew up in Macomb and now resides in Rochester Hills with his wife Melissa and three sons. Dr. Tye graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory high school and earned his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. He went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 2016. Dr. Tye maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Macomb Dental Society, Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Tye regularly takes continuing education courses to stay current on the latest treatment techniques & innovations. In his free time, Dr. Tye enjoys camping, hiking, snowboarding, and cheering on his favorite Detroit sports teams.
Dr. David Kolakowski
Dr. David Kolakowski is a lifelong "East-Sider". He was raised in Warren, MI, and was a graduate of Warren Woods High School. He now resides here in Macomb with his family. Dr. K attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn for undergraduate study and was a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Macomb Dental Society, the International Association for Orthodontics, and Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity. Dr. K regularly attends continuing education focusing on Orthodontics, TMJ dysfunction, Endodontics, and Dental Implant Restoration. In his spare time, Dr. K can be found boating, fishing, cycling, or pursuing his dream of being a rock drummer.
Dr. Tia VanSuilichem
Dr. Tia VanSuilichem is excited to be a part
of the team at Tye Family Dentistry and help patients achieve their best smiles. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. VanSuilichem attended Ferris State University where she played soccer and earned her Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating with honors, she attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree where she developed a passion for restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She maintains membership in the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association. She values the importance of patient relationships and takes the time to understand each individual's concerns and goals for their oral health. In her free time, Dr. VanSuilichem loves to stay active from going on walks to attending workout classes. She also is an avid reader and has a beloved cat named Pina.
